Alex’s story …..
Alex started gaining an interest in pearls, having first ventured out to the Far East in the summer of 2001.
23 years, three countries, and substantially less hair later, Alex remains 6,627 miles away from home for the majority of the year, sourcing beautiful freshwater pearls and semi-precious stones to create a stunning, affordable range of jewellery that everybody can enjoy!
“I first stepped out onto Asian soil, somewhat ‘warmer climes’ than the UK (!), in August 2001. The first thing I recall back then was that, as a foreigner, everyone wanted their photo taken with you. How times have changed! My mother ran a hugely successful Cashmere company, and what better to go with cashmere, than pearls. That seemed the ultimate luxury! Now back then, I couldn’t distinguish a pearl from a sapphire, and so the journey began……”
